Guide to using RoomIn
To use RoomIn, you must first download the app from the App Store. Currently, it is only available for iOS.
Launch the RoomIn app and proceed to sign in or create an account. Remember that the RoomIn account is not the same as your Zoom account.
Once you have created your RoomIn account, you will see a message at the top of the main screen indicating that you need to link your Zoom account.
The main functionalities of RoomIn require you to have a linked Zoom account. Please note that RoomIn does not store any information from your Zoom account, so if you log out or delete the app, you will need to link a Zoom account again.
Once your Zoom account is linked, you will be able to access the rooms that users share through the platform. To access a room, you should go to the home screen and see the currently live rooms. From there, you can select one and press the 'Join Live' button, which will take you directly to the room. To exit the room, the process is the same as leaving a Zoom meeting.
You will also be able to create rooms that other users can view and access when they start. To create a room, you should go to My Rooms, where you will find the '+' button at the top right corner. The next step is to select whether it will be an instant room (starts immediately after creation) or a scheduled room (requires selecting the date and start time). Then, you will need to enter a title and at least 1 topic that defines the room's interest.
If you want to link another Zoom account, you can log out of RoomIn from the user's profile screen, and when you start again, you can link another Zoom account.
If you want to delete your RoomIn account, you can do so from the user's profile by selecting 'Delete Account.' You will need to confirm your identity, and upon completion, all your account data, created rooms, profile picture, and other associated information will be deleted.
